survey done...nice to see some more palace fans in my relative area even if you are only there for uni, god covs a s***hole.

i do however think this thread could be more than just a uni survey.

i gamble most weeks on the football, mostly just £5 a weekend, maybe £10 if the lunchtime ko's f*** my accumulators!!! never more than that tho.

i dont see myself as having a problem but i was annoyed when in cypurs last week when bet365 wouldnt let me bet because i was aborad, just wanted to do my acca! just let it go tho.

ive seen mates with big problems, 1 lost his car/job/house & almost family and others chasing losses during a world cup, in the room there was over £2000 on england to beat algeria 2010 w/c chasing losses & i was happy i had £5 on a 0-0...imagine how popular is was winning £40!

all this responsible betting thing is just soundbite bollox, these companies want to bankrupt as many people as they can and they dont care how they do it, the fact its thrown into people faces is awful especially ray winston "have a bang on that" adverts at half time for live betting.

these live betting adverts are obviously aimed at people whos accaa are up the s***ter at half time and preying on the weak, like carling sponsoring a AA meeting, its sad to see. needless to say ive never been drawn in by a "in play" betting advert, i can see how people are mind you.

love him or hate him, joey bartons been c***ed off massivly by the FA, hes obviouly got an addictive personality yet the FA had ladbrokes as one of its sponsors and almost every bottom half PL team is sponsored by some bumphuknowhere betting company...the hypocracy to end his career when in essence he lines their pockets in unreal.

i do honestly beleive that gambling is almost as bad of a legal drug as booze or fags, and should be treated as such in advertising terms, but what hope docwe have when the football leagues sponsored by skybet & they ban barton for gambling? i know there are technicalities but the point still stands.

i cant type this trying to be holier than thou, i bet, i admit that and wouldnt try to hide it, but its basically preying on the weak!

also if you guys dont read the football365 website a) you should do as its brilliant, and b) if you dont just read this one article by the brilliant johnny nic

have a bang on that...
