Remarkably, has had three mangers but not played under any of them

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

The poor chap has been through an extremely harrowing time, not only physically because of his serious injuries but mentally, not knowing if he would ever return to football.

Very glad he has made a full recovery and I look forward to seeing him in our colours again.

I agree. Has had a really hard time; hope he comes back without any adverse effects from the accident. All the best to him.

As someone who was involved in a serious car accident myself 16 months ago in which I sustained life changing injuries and I can totally understand what he has been through. He has done amazingly well.

As someone else mentioned it's not just the physical side that suffers after a serious car accident but the mental side does to more than people realise. I just hope that if he is suffering with the mental side then he is getting the right help, which I'm sure he will be.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I remember Matt Jansen saying he never overcame the mental side of his accident as far as playing football was concerned.

If Pape pulls it off to make a full return to the standard he was at, then it will speak volumes about his character.

Mind you, it's a bit frustrating to have three left backs, none of whom are particularly strong defensively.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Hopefully he's been watching videos of Ashley Cole for the last 18 months to improve his positional sense. Good athlete , headless chicken.
