Roy is going to get a lot of stick

When Roy walks out especially away he is going to get some serious grief over his England record / Iceland game I hope this wanes quite quickly so we don't become enemy number one but possibly it may toughen us up with the siege mentality. Am I concerned over nothing or is the stick not going to help our current predicament.

Dug outs are in main stands. Songs from 50 yard away are part of football. Most people care about their club and not England, especially those who go to matches.

The one song that might come up is 'you're getting sacked in a/the.....'

After 50+ years in football Roy will not be bothered in the slightest.
At 70 years old this is probably Roy's last major appointment,and I think he'll have the time of his life.

Cheers bud I wasn't including myself and hopefully our fans in dishing out the stick I am at the opposite end on the boo boy scale just for the record.

Roy is OUR manager.
He is a Croydon boy who supported us from the Holmesdale terrace.
He has accepted a really challenging job taking over a club in a difficult position.
Roy is deserving of a rousing welcome on Saturday.
Welcome Roy and good luck.

Agree.The clock has now been reset and our season starts against Southampton.

Is it too much to ask that we ALL support our team on Saturday.

It certainly shouldn't be and as long as I get out of this hospital bed in time I will be there with my boys cheering them ALL on!
