ideally i would wait until we had something positive to sing about. But then again, its always good to be prepared.

it would be nice to have some reference to the many decades from his first contact with us, to now. Long in the tooth ? long in the beak ? he hated brighton before the pavilion was built ? he loved croydon when it was a low-rise suburb. he disliked millwall when they still had docks to work. he laughed at charlton when Coco the clown was in his heyday.

to the tune of 'old king cole, was a merry old soul'

Old King Roy is a Croydon boy, and a Croydon boy is he
He called us to fight, for our premier life
and an Eagles Victory
He never heard of the Tramlink Fare
but Croydon Airport would it be ?
t'was joy for Roy, the Croydon boy
From Iceland to Sainsbury's

he's got false teeth, a Zimmer frame
but when he's in charge we win the game

he's croydon roy, with soft-soled shoes,
he's still got his hair but his wife's is blue

he's croydon roy, he's croydon roy,
he played here once when he was a boy.

To the tune of "the rangers sing, i don't know why, cos after the match, they're gonna die" (I don't know the actual tune)

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

To the tune of Dad's Army...

Who do you think you are kidding Mr. Hodgson,
If you think we're already done?
We are the boys who will up our little game.
We are the boys who will make you think again.
'Cause who do you think you are kidding Mr. Hodgson,
If you think old Zaha's done?
Steve Parish goes off to town clueless with a gin,
But he comes home each evening wondering who he's sacking?
So who do you think you are kidding Mr. Hodgson,
If you think old Eagles are done?

I also think Roy should embrace his roots and dress appropriately, Wife beaters vest, tracksuit bottoms , Lonsdale trainers and to really go large in a Croydon style, take his teeth out

To the tune of Mad About the Boy - Mad About The Roy.

Only joking.

How about Roy Won't Cry to the tune of Boys Don't Cry by the Cure?
