Since CYL's screamer at Stoke on Dec 19 2015, we have been ... terrible. FA Cup Final apart - we should have won it but failed to beat a poor Man U. 2017 in particular has not been great with the notable exception wins against CFC, LFC and AFC. I've lost close friends and close family too since the end of last season, and have attended more funerals than goals scored or points won this season. I will be adding to that tally on Friday. So, I'm generally feeling low, pissed off and basically fed up with everything...but CPFC is MY club, and in my DNA, so I will carry on supporting. I will be at SP on Saturday - we so desperately need 3 points after tonight's result by WHU. It feels far worse than our terrible start in 2013-14, with a far inferior squad...on paper. The difference is that the 2013-14 squad had one thing in abundance ... fighting spirit as a unit, united with the fans. Our squad needs to show up and deliver now. The signs were there on Sunday - we had no luck at all. I hope our squad feel as terrible as the fans do right now. We'll do our bit from the stands if the players do it once the white line is crossed. COYP (and get help me get out of my general low ebb!).

Dec 19, 2015 is also the day the US investment into the club was unveiled. I'm not much one for superstition but ever since the Americans came on board following Palace has been a thoroughly dispiriting experience (the cup run and a few isolated wins aside).

Since they came in we got to an FA Cup Final, and have remained in the Premier League 2 more seasons. Could have been a lot worse. 2016 was a dreadful year for league results, but I think we'll pick up again. We have a good team, and we still have Zaha which is always a positive and a reason to watch Palace.

I think we are probably all a bit shellshocked with too many narrow escapes from relegation, and the constant turnover of managers. If RH can being two seasons of midtable obscurity with him - bliss!

There are times when I think, how the hell are we still in this division, after all the close shaves we have had. The worry is that the other clubs who have, in recent seasons, regularly flirted with relegation, most notably Aston Villa and Sunderland, ended up going down.

We are going to have to go on a stupendous run now to reach some level of safety by Xmas.

We are following the likes of Villa, Sunderland and previously Wigan - just asking to be relegated every season and somehow staying up, until finally the inevitable occurs. However, that's only in terms of results; all those teams had terrible squads full of ageing Championship-quality players. Our squad is thin, but there's a lot of quality.

Stop f***ing moaning , some fans on here are such a bunch of wet blankets. Get behind the team like never before, and sing your hearts out. If you want easy ride go and support Barca.

I have to face it Palace is in my blood I pretend it doesn't matter anymore and that I am not really bothered. I watched the game Sunday i still had the same butterflies i had when my Dad took me to Selhurst for my first game in the 1970s against Swindon. It doesn't matter which division they are in how bad they play i will always follow the Palace.Yes the last 18months haven't been that good but we did beat Chelsea,Arsenal and Liverpool and Tottenham in the cup we also have a chance to stay up roll on Saturday come on you Eagles

I would say the 22 months that saw Palace go from the old First Division to the old Third Division was a sight worse.

Am not sure anyone is after an easy ride but an end to this relentless poor leadership, some stability and some progress after 5 years might be nice and not too much to ask for. I'll support the team no matter what league and have done for nearly 50 years. Never booed, never walked out but man....... there are real problems there. Not sure if it's parishs ego or Americans or too many jobs for the boys but something ain't right Originally posted by Loz83
