Off subject but I live in Edinburgh and peruse fan websites here and majority don't think much of James. Talk about him as "how does he get a game is he Strachan's toyboy" sort of stuff. They obviously haven't watched many Palace games over the last few seasons.

He was a bit pants in the England game but then they all were that day even by Scottish standards and got thumped 3-0. His 89th minute goal got them out of jail against Lithuania at home; scored again the other night. The only midfielders of equivalent calibre playing in Scotland wear green hoops and they're about as Scottish as the Dalai Lama.
