Guardian article by Dominic, who normally gets it right. Says Frank is staying for the at least the short term but needs to show he can adapt to the Prem. Palace furious with his displays so far including him calling the players out when it's obvious his tactics are the issue. This one is set to run a little longer (Sorry if posted elsewhere! )

Not sure to what extent either FdB will 'change his approach ' but at least it looks as though problems are being seriously addressed!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Yes but done early so repairable. Wasn't it Parish who gave Freedman the famous 'Car Park Dressing down' things seemed to turnaround after that. Let FDB f*** about with systems when we are over 40 points? Last 6/7 games of the season etc......

The international break for it all to calm down, frank to come to his senses and slow down, and we will obviously judge him in the next 2 games to see if he does adapt, which I expect is away from the suicidal 3-4-3 without a strong enough line up.

Although I am really p1ssed with how he's gone back on his word, I don't like seeing our managers sacked, purely because it means we've failed. But if plays around with our future when he can walk away from it then he'll have to walk earlier.

No I actually said that even if we lost at Swansea, Pardew would not be sacked straight away.He lasted 4 games after that. As for 50/50 sometimes my mutterings on here are not just based on hunch or instinct.

Hope this is so ... FDB has a lot to learn about the premier league, but he also has a lot to give. He can only learn through experiance...yes he may have to change his style, although you could argue that he sticks to his principals... he strikes me as an intelligent person and proberly finds the hostility towards himself at such an early stage difficult to understand, particularly those from the fans of the club he is Managing. I saw the pre-season game against Shalka and I thought we looked quite good. Agree the two homes games were very poor, but Liverpool away, we were unlucky to come away without a point.

Your 2nd point is interesting. That is one of the major reasons that a large shift in our playing system is very risky. We just do not have 6 or more games to throw away at any time of the season, whether at the front or back end. Sounds like FdB is being pulled back. Let's see if he has the balls just as much as he felt the players lacked on Sat. COYP !!
