If Parish thinks in his heart of hearts he has got it wrong, would he pull the trigger now, opening him up for ridicule after three games, or would he wait another 5/6 games, maybe too late, to save his own face
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

I was roundly ridiculed to even suggest that we'll be in that situation instead of pondering what we'd do. It seems we're there sooner than expected BUT I think FdB needs to be given time and backed with funds.

IMO he should act now, then employ somebody who can help him run the club because again IMO he is a little out of his depth now. I was a 100% SP man but I am now seeing so much lack of progression it is very worrying.

And he is in a similar position now, If he gets rid of Frank now he becomes a bigger joke than he currently is. In my opinion Steve Parish is the problem rather than the Solution. How could he appoint a manager who believes in free flowing football to then not support him in the transfer market, It makes no sense whatsoever. And now we will probably wait until transfer deadline day, and as best bring in a couple of players that will not improve the squad, He can possibly recover the situation by bringing in Sakho & proven striker and a keeper that does not keep fumbling the ball and hesitating whenever there is I any pressure. Spot on Medway, just one thing I think the transfer market has gone so silly I can almost forgive SP for that. Having said that it doesn't help the club. SP always seems to "dither" when we buy anybody and again IMO we missed Silva because of this (well done Watford)

Let's get real here....if he'd have bought Sakho for 30m back in June we wouldn't be in this position....I suspect we'd have got at least 2 points ...he's that good and if we leave it too long it will cost a lot more than 30 million....sometimes you can't be too smart and have to bite the bullit, I really hope he arrives this week......

Parrish is a shrewd businessman. If he thinks it is best for the club that FDB goes he will act.

For the first ever time, and I feel a bit dirty saying it, I'm not certain that SP is the best day-to-day chairman we could CURRENTLY have. We could certainly do a lot worse, but he's been the one common factor in the roller coaster ride of our time so far in the Prem. He can take the credit for his efforts in keeping us here for sure - but with that, he has to take the responsibility for the state the facilities, playing staff and stadium remain in despite that time (and income).
Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune) |

Don't feel dirty, all you are doing is expressing a view and I for one agree with you. Let's hope we are wrong and have to eat humble pie eh!!

I have some frustration with SP and would welcome any insight but I sometimes wonder if he is actually a 'football person' and if not who is advising him on these managerial and playing staff decisions? My problem with FdB is that although I tried to blindly believe he might work the disastrous start to the season is everything my logic and footballing knowledge told me would happen! Also with both SP and FdB the thing that frustrates me most is the lack of genuine communication with fans. FdB never has anything insightful or inspirational to say after matches on what he is doing to address problems and the was little from SP on way of a new manager first and now transfers! I sincerely hope some constructive talks have taken place i.e.: we are gonna sign some players or address other problems (we all know what they are), doubt we will hear from the club what these talks actually mean for the fans though!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
