It's been reported that the areas , we considering strengthening are gk, cb and winger and striker. So who could be considered our targets.

Gks - Adrian (2nd choice at whu) , L.Skorupski( available on loan), Zoet (available at 9m according to reports), vorm (skysports rumour)

Defenders- chambers (linked last month available at 20m but a want a buyback clause insert) , wimmer (available at 18m), Sakho (the rumour that doesn't go away)

Wingers and striker options- munir (prefers a move to Roma), Perez (available and wants to leave Arsenal), Vincent Janssen (wants to leave) , carillio - close to joining Watford. Shane long (mirror)

The option that have been linked throughout the summer that may be targets in the last week of the window.

Vorm - Spurs
Sakho - Liverpool
Long - Southampton

And if we really are going to sell Townsend for £27m then I would bid for Moses with Chelsea wanting to take Ox we might be more inclined to make an offer! Would solve the RWB problem and allow Kai Kai and Lokilo to be promoted to first team not just the bench!

Bound to get shot down for Moses suggestion but we can dream can't we!

Interesting thought re Moses. He'd be a great fit if we could afford him. But I thought Ox didn't want to be a rwb and was looking for a cm role. Advantage of Munir or Lucas Perez is that they can play wide or central. Also as a false 9, which the YouTube analysis of FdB's tactics suggested might be a missing link. But where does Benteke fit in then?
The MOTD crew suggested a "middle way". Can anyone explain what that might be? High pressing, possesion based, passing on the one hand and on the other hand packed defence, allowing opponents possession with direct attacking on the break. What on earth is the middle way Shearer was burbling about?
