Short Summary:
Man City have started a tunnel club, where for £299 a match you can get access to the tunnel area, behind aquarium style glass walls and watch the players leave / enter the field of play.
you also get a tactical briefing before the game, a Q&A session with Brian Kidd and get to watch the post game interviews, also theres a bar and posh food etc.

What do we think? Great commercial idea or ridiculous? (Or both)

How funny. Someone asked me this morning if I fancied doing this. My response was I didn't want to be that close to the s*** hitting the fan when they fire a load of goals past us..

In all seriousness looks very swish but in reality an expensive way of making people part with their cash. Not very exclusive if anyone can stump up 300notes and do it

When I was a young girl my Mother said to me.. You listen here kid you're CPFC

Just following the model of American sports in milking every fan revenue stream possible. Nothing wrong with that as it's not something coming out of a regular ticket-holder's wallet.

For example, as a Texans' season ticket holder, I could upgrade to a sideline pass which allowed me to be on the sidelines (du'uh) during warmups and during the pre-game niceties. Lots of opportunities for hob-nobbing / selfies with players and general social media one-upmanship. Also, cheerleaders. [Link]

Never took it up (it was about $5000/ticket), but it sounded like fun. More fun than riding in the cart with Toro as he leads out the team? [Link] Dunno...

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

I thought it was a bit strange to see the players lining up to come out behind a see through tunnel and all the fans looking at them and taking pics from the other side,,,,,reminded me of my last trip to the Zoo

bloody stupid.

On the same subject of relieving the fans of their dosh, why not lay on good quality food & drinks at very reasonable prices.
Box park is chocka on a match day, do something along those lines behind the stands.
get 'em in early & everybody eats & drinks in selhurst rather than the surrounding areas bars/chippys etc.

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

How about a "Fan Zone" behind the main stand with burger bars, seats, a merchandise shop and some girls in leggings with pom poms?
