To me, the only plus from a 343 at the minute (not a big fan personally) is that up top we potentially have Zaha and Townsend out wide. Why on earth would we want to sell him? He should be starting in my opinion. Not liking any news out of Selhurst at the minute. Seems very disorganised with no sense of planning. If we insist on 343 we need the players to do it which a. means we must spend money and b. must not sell our best players. Parish being seduced by 'sexy football' could be a disaster. Pardew persuaded parish to keep him at the helm with a promise of a more 'expansive' style. I'm nervous lessons haven't been learnt. And yes, it is early, I know. And no, I'm not a knee jerker. Been on hol for a number of years. Rarely have I felt so worried.

There's a lot of rubbish published online and in tabloid press.

well if we have hardly any money for all the players we're after, lets say they can get Burke for 15 m and Leicester offer 23 m for Andros, that is 8 m, that pays for our new goalie doesn't it, more or less. Then we again have a replacement for Andros. Then we need another stiker and a RwB, maybe a CAM as we are being linked with Munir of Barca....so with all those positions FdB wants to fill, what else can he do...

Leave FDB to build his own team. None of us have a clue about what he has planned yet. If selling Andros allows us to buy a player that he deems better for Palace, then we have to trust that he knows what he is doing. Remember that most of us were scratching our heads when we signed Andros as we already had Wilf and Yannick holding down the wing positions with aplomb. A few weeks later Yannick was gone for a lot of money and things started to make sense. It's all about evolution in football. You can stand still and bemoan every change as and when they happen.

To sell Townsend when Wilf is out injured would be madness. Cabaye and McArthur are both key to the quality of play so they won't get sold either...

Cabaye might, seeing as contract finished next year, if they get 8m bid I think they'd take it.

Evolution?! Spare me the evolution rubbish. Allardyce is spot on about possession football, it's only good if you win. Give me 35% possession and a win over 70+ and a loss. All football fans have been duped into this possession nonsense. I want FDB to be a success. I really do. But what is clear is that if he is to build he needs a big big budget. You can't change the playing style so radically if you haven't the personnel to do it. Selling one of the players who possibly could do it would be madness.

wrong, Southampton and Swansea did it on small budgets but wth emphasis on fab recruitment and youth investment. Its already been said FdB has ideas on long term time with a club, if that works out then in time that could happen. as for trying 343 formation, everyone on here second guessed he'd only stick to that formation, if anything after 3 competitive matches its for all to see that he is willing to revert to 433. He is not that stubborn. as for teams that keep the ball better, I think aside from the Leicester occurrence, where they have two world beaters up front and had one of the greatest DMC's in midfield at one point, most teams who play that counter attacking football are down the bottom end of the table. I'd rather emulate Southampton over the next 4 yrs over Burnley.

Can we not just have one "I'm worried we're sh*t" thread rather than multiple threads daily under the guise of a different title? It's getting tedious reading rehashed versions of the same thread.

It seems that everyone on here thinks they know FdB personally; enough to say what he'll do, that he's too stubborn...blah blah blah Just give the whinging a rest, support the team when it goes on the pitch and have a little faith...
