Tomkins all day long for me. Dann used to be our best defender by a clear mile and I still believe he can get back to that with the right partnership

If Riederwald is playing then must keep Dann.
If not Riederwald then Tomkins has a longer future.

Me I'd keep and play both.

Dann will be harder to shift. Older, on more money ? and has lost his way a bit in the last year.

Also a clue in team selection for first game unless de Boer got cold feet about Riedewald. Doesn't look a CB to me.

I wouldn't sell Tomkins, he's the only one in the absence of Sakho who does any organising back there.
