After a shocking season opener, with less than a month to go before the transfer window ends Palace need to buy wisely or face another relegation battle. But what do we need?

De Boer's system is an amazing system when it works but, when it doesn't, it's shocking. If FdB can make the lads play the formation cohesively, he is a better coach than anyone will ever give him credit but, anybody would struggle to turn a Big Sam side into a possession based side which depends on swift formation transitions.

We need to bring in at least 3 new faces to get the mid-table finish we need to become a safe Premier League side, instead of relegation candidates. Where do we need to strenghten?

Goalkeeper:
We need a Goalkeeper. After Steve, who was a "guaranteed" quality keeper, leaving after a disgraceful spell at Crystal Palace, I think we need to take a punt on a young goalkeeper. Rumours suggest that Palace want to sign one of the following keepers:
-Alphonse Areola
-Jeroen Zoet
-Sergio Padt
-Mitch Langerak
-Freddie Woodman
-Marco Sportiello
-Orestis Karnezis

After Jasper Cillesen has said that he has no interest in leaving Barcelona, Crystal Palace are looking for and alternative. In my opinion, we should try and sign Areola or Woodman. A young keeper that can stay in the side for years to come and look after the our defence. But, the "best" keepers on that list, currently, are Sportiello and Lagerak. Both keepers are quality keepers and could put in a good shift between the sticks. But, the thing that worries me, is that Langerak is very much like Speroni.

I watch lots of football and frequently see both keepers (Sportiello and Langerak) playing for their clubs. Langerak, much like Speroni, can pull of ridiculous saves but, also like speroni, sometimes fails to save shots that should be saved. The thing I like about Hennessey is that he is a safe keeper, he will make every save up to a surtain point, consistent. Which is something Langerak will have to work on as a team of a standard need a "safe" keeper, not a irratic keeper. Sportiello is more like Hennessey, just a lot better, he will make every save until a surtain point. Very consistent in the Calcio A but, the question everyone asks with foreign players, can they cut it in the Premier League?

All and all, I think the best keeper would be Langerak but anyone on the list above would be quality signings.

P.S. The rest of the will be posted in the near future.
