Does mile Jedinak go down as our greatest ever captain. Promotion and cup final. Inspired others around him and when you look at the team that gained promotion. He pulled the group together. Thanks mile a real palace legend.

Jedinak memories here

Great captain yes, but greatest? IMO no, that goes to Geoff Thomas or Jim Cannon.

George Courtney, the World Cup referee, everyone is looking at him. When will he blow....?

For such a Palace great, the way it ended leaves me disappointed as a Palace fan. Stripped of the captaincy and treated unfairly imo. Especially when the likes of paddy McCarthy and Johnny Williams were handed deal after deal. To sell him for 4m is ridiculous especially with the likes of flamini and Ledley contribution in the first 6 months.

A few years ago we were in the relegation mire and Alan Pardew was appointed as manager. Jedinak disappeared for a month to play for Australia and during that time we started our steady progress up the table without him.

The mistake that we made was not in selling him as we got a good price for an ageing midfielder who couldn't pass the ball but in not replacing him as I doubt whether there are many fans who would say that Jedinak was better for the club than Milivojevic is.

Jedinak was a great servant to our club and I suspect would get a good reception if ever he returned with another club.

He was robust but never the quickest and his effectiveness diminished with age to the extent that the timing of his departure and the fee we got was in my opinion good business.

He hasn't featured in any A.Villa squads this season so perhaps he is injured.I wish him well.

It all seemed to change for Mile after he got sent off against West Ham. Maybe Pardew was just waiting for an excuse to leave him out of the team, but it seemed their relationship went downhill after that.

We ( for once ) got a good price for a player whose best days at PL level were behind him.

Greatest ever captain ? - No, but his contribution was immense and he is an authentic leader on the pitch.

No way. Cannon and Thomas both better players and skippers

One of my all time favourite players. Was absolutely immense for this club and loved it like we do. Was a disgrace the way he was bombed out. That was the final nail in the coffin for me as far as Pards was concerned. Not only disrespected Jedi but he disrespected us, the fans. You don't treat a fans favourite who did so much for the club in that manner.

I think it's a shame we didn't get him when he was a few years younger.

I'd always enjoy watching him challenge for header after header and know, even before he left the ground, that he was going to win it.

So what was Pardew supposed to do ? Pick a player he felt didn't warrant a place in the team just to appease fans ? Players get picked and dropped - is a player 'Disrespected' if he doesn't play ?

Still warranted a place in the side. Was dropped for his player who was a wasn't an upgrade in the position that we badly needed. As a result we lost our fight and all of our games. And to strip him of his captaincy just before selling him was uncalled for. Not continuing a debate about this. It's the way I feel and there's nothing you can say that will change that now.

Pards didn't like how much respect Jedi commanded from the team...his ego couldn't handle it...Pards had to be Caesar this is the only conclusion i can draw for letting him go.

Jedi = absolute leader of men, interception king, promotion and premiership hero....loved the club, didn't want to leave and it was players like him with his attitude and desire which helped drum up the selhurst atmosphere....i don't know anyone who put's in as much of a shift now as Jedi did when he was with us...back in the day I'd let him have a go on my wife!

Hopkin looks to curl one!
