I wasn't at the match and have only be able to watch very selective highlights. FdB's post-match comments suggest that we lost the game during a 15 minute spell in which we lost our concentration.
Does this ring true for those of you that were at the match? Were we a winning team for the remaining 75 minutes?

If only it were White, rather than Yellow!

I thought we were second best for about 80 minutes of the game. During this time we never really looked like we'd get forward to create anything. It might almost be fair to say Huddersfield only truly dominated us for 15 minutes but there wasn't any point in the game where I thought we dominated them.

Would not pay too much attention to FdB's 15 minute excuse. We were s***, not into the game most of the time even we were close to scoring (Benteke & Dann), but well deeserved loss to relegation favourite no.1. Just not good enough.....

I saw Nerves due to new system and players not quite used to one another.

Im still quietly confident, perhaps after Liverpool are out of the way though.

I must say that I think a lot of the criticism is a bit harsh. We had more shots, had 12 corners, 57% possession, better passing accuracy. & numerous other better stats....read for yourself.

We were fouled 19 times compared to their 7, we should have had a penalty & they should have had a man sent off..........they made many more clearances than us but scored 3 of their 6 chances. David Wagner admitted after the game that the scoreline was very flattering.

Don't get "scoreline was flattering". They also had two clear one on ones that were saved by miracle tackles. Could have been 5.

Exactly sounds like delusional Pardew nonsense which is a concern.

Definitely wouldn't have won it in 75 minutes

I agree. Not Palace bashing here, but Ward and Fosu-Mensah both made interceptions that 99% of the time I'd expect to have ended up as goals.

But I did also text my uncle to say "Huddersfield's goal has an invisible force field around it". I think we were unlucky not to have scored at all.

Agreed on both points. Also, Ince missed an absolute sitter about 5 - 10 minutes in, which was a warning that we didn't heed.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

We were second best for most of the game. They dominated us in the first half, and came out with the same intensity at the start of the second.
