After bringing in TFM, RLC and Riedewald all great signings. Where are we left to strengthen in your opinion? For me a striker, winger/striker, wingback and goalie. I'd love Sakho but think the time passed for that to become a reality.

After yesterday's performance, everywhere, especially the manager. No idea tactically and no passion.
Let's keep the ball this season! |

Have to agree with that it really was the worst I've seen for a long time. Clueless!!

More than we can afford so one or two will have to be sold. 3-4-3 isn't an option without a decent keeper and a RWB. We need a back up striker. Another winger would be nice but not a priority.

Most important imo is a new GK.

We have signed one permanent player who will be a very good player. We have have signed two Loan player for one year (Short term fixes) We need at least another Defender, preferably a right Back, another midfielder, and at least another striker, and a Goal Keeper. Our squad is not strong enough compared to other teams squads. Puncheon is not good enough for centre mid, and FDB has to realise that and quickly. You need a centre mid that can score.

New keeper, attacking right back/rwb , x2 strikers (one that can play attacking mid also) , and sakho. Hope we've got a decent budget! Otherwise we're f***ed!

Centre Back - We have five CB's counting Fosu-Mensah but one is Damian Delaney. If we are going to persist with three CB's then we need another one - preferable experienced. Right Wing Back - Ward cannot play there again (please); Townsend looks as though he may be off but it is not his position anyway. Striker: Benteke cannot be the sole striker available to play. He needs competition, in some games he needs taking off and replacing and sometimes he may just need to sit it out on the bench. Goalkeeper - Needed one of these for a while now!!!! Midfielder - Box to box player and an upgrade on McArthur. Not vital as we can make do with what we have in midfield but it would be beneficial. Sadly I cannot see us signing five new players - SP has got (or been told to get) a very tight grip on the purse strings for this season. That is, of course, until January when we are in the bottom three and the board panic and splash the cash as if there were no tomorrow!

if we are going to play 'possession' football it would be a good idea to get players capable of keeping possession.

I think the "must haves" are: A goalkeeper. Weve only got Hennessy and Speroni. I am firmly of the opinion that a third 'keeper should be the first choice and capable of saving a few points during the season. Two right wing back (assuming 3-4-3 is a permanent tactic). Wing backs are critical in a 3-4-3 formation. Our current right backs and Ward and Kelly. Both are solid, experienced "traditional" full backs, but neither seems to have the specific attributes to play right wing back. A back up striker. An experienced cover for Benteke is essential. A centre back. 3 at the back presumably needs 6 centre backs in the squad. Sakho would be brilliant!!
