Sky sports have got a Pardew article with his verdict on Palace. Here is a link

[Link]

It contains the following little gem:-

"We lost our left-back Pape Souare to a car accident in September and had left ourselves with no left-footed back-up there. It became a massive problem for us and it was one that we did not foresee."

f*** off you prick. Unfortunate, yes. Unforseeable, absolutely not. How you can call yourself a PL manager and not plan appropriately for this by having adequate cover in each position is beyond me

Bit dramatic.

Decent synopsis from Pardew.

I'm really enjoying his work with sky , he's been very insightful. It didn't work out for him here, but he got us to a cup final and mid table finish. Give the guy a break.

You can't be serious

He went almost a year without winning in the league what was his record when fired something like 36 games without a win in the league.

How anyone can defend him is beyond me. Bloke was complete toilet. And the arrogance/ignorance he displayed and still displays is almost sickening.

Not accurate.

We won 4 league games in the season that he was removed of his duties which was after 17 league games.

Certainly 2016 was a bit of an 'Annus Horribilis' for Pardew in the league. But he kept us up in his first season after he joined when we were 18th, kept is up in his second season and got us to the FA Cup final.

Good to see Pards and hear what he has to say.

I would not have sacked him and I feel he would have kept Eagles up.

Difficult to see the logic of hiring De Boers who apparently will be turning to 'total' or entertaining which is what Pards is accused of.

Defence is the key in my opinion and Pulis and Allardyce were successful here.

The Dutch ladies who won the ladies euros last week saved 4 goals from England and Denmark by having defenders on the goal line.

Good post. It's also worth considering his legacy, whilst a few of his signings didn't work out, the squad he left us with was substantially better than it was when he joined us.

A couple of Pardew gems in there, he would of kept us up ... and he would of done the same as SA in the Jan transfer window..

We were dead and buried xmas 16 with 4 wins in the whole year , the team were totally unfit , the coaching staff were a complete joke. Pardew was clueless and he passed this onto the team.

FDB and his team with Sl on his side are a whole new level, it won't be plain sailing but it won't be the shambles Pardew and his staff left behind.

You must be a clairvoyant if you could foresee Souare was going to have a car accident

He's the new Trevor Francis: absolute toilet as our manager but is the first one asked to give an opinion.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.
