Bit torn on these. Yes its good to have good players wearing the red and blue but cant help feeling we are doing someone else a favour with some of these loans. Are we going to have first dibs at buying these guys if things work out? Doubtful given its Man Utd and Chelsea. Would be great if we would actually buy some more players then we can actually benefit from the move long term. I hope we sign a few more as you cant build anything around young players only here on loan.

Ake went to Bournemouth from Chelsea so there's a chance. Depends how well RLC does. Think Fosu-Mensah is less likely but who knows. I think it gives us more strength without large expenditure, but it does mean we need to spend big next summer if we stay up. It's 50/50 really, but after the spend in January I think it's sensible. We may still bring in 2 or 3 permanent signings, we've only spent 25% of our rumoured transfer budget.

Neither are gonna sign permanently. Both players rated highly by Chelsea and Man Utd. Apparently a real lack of funds this window. If it's get us by for 12 months, maybe even bed a few of our youngster in then. The negative side is that the holes are just being plugged short term , rather than a longer term idea. That's it for prem loans now but I think we allowed 2 foreign loans aswell.

We need to keep within FFP which means that we have to utilise the loan system. Big Sam seemingly spent most of the budget for this season last January in order to keep us up. We still need a striker and a keeper, neither of which are likely to come cheap.

I don't really see a problem - unless you flood the entire side with loanees and the team loses its identity completely. If, on the one hand, they perform badly, don't fit in the style of play or get a serious injury, you've dodged a bullet by not paying an inflated (as they all are at he moment) transfer fee. If, on the other hand, they perform well and make a significant contribution to a successful season then they've done a good job at the fraction of the cost. Yes, they may return to their parent club, or move elsewhere, but they're only in demand if they perform to a high level for us - plus we've significantly enhanced the prospect of them joining permanently by virtue of them playing often and well here. and experiencing a great place to play. If the players are chosen correctly, it's a win-win I reckon - and I think RLC & TFM are excellent choices.

It's a system that suits both clubs.

I'll hold my hands up and say I was reluctant about loans and even bleated on about buy back clauses being abuse of power. But I've been thinking it over the last few weeks and have probably changed my mind on loans and even buy back clauses in the right situations. Although I'll feel gutted when they leave, if they leave. Aka is a good example of a good loan then signing. For now I'm gonna enjoy watching our players and the talent they bring. We where never gonna be able to overhaul the squad without such signings and as I do want us to embrace the managers philosophy I think it's the right call. We've done well to attract such talent and long may that continue.

Taking loanees off the top clubs is probably the future for teams like us.

If at the end of the season we've stayed up that's all that matters. We are only a couple of additions away from having a really decent squad. Also it looks like De Boer has every intention of giving some of our youngsters a chance so there's every reason to feel positive about this season.

Well I'd rather we were loaned Bamford than signed him, same with that Arsenal feller. But Sahko - yeah its a shame he wasn't a buy.
