Richard Scudamore has said there are no plans to televise matches at 3pm despite the growing number of supporters watching games via online streams. Scudamore told 5 live: "The vast majority of 11-a-side football is played on a Saturday afternoon, you’ve got all the Football League games, they can’t all be displaced. We would be impacting on that.”

There is a wide assumption (which is probably valid) that if you showed Liverpool - United at 3pm on a Saturday to be on TV, attendance at lower league games would be significantly impacted. Think the best way to do it would for it to be payable on a specific club basis i.e. if I'm a palace fan I can pay £x a year to stream all Palace games, including 3pm KO. Allows fans to watch away games on a decent quality streams but may prevents a free for all on 3pm kicks offs and significant impact on lower league attendances.

This is how they do it in the US; don't know whether it's still the same, but 3-4 years ago it was $5 a month to stream any NFL game from the last 30 days, with two cuts; the full game and a featured highlights version. I mean... come on. What do we get? A package which needs two upgrades to watch a match we don't care about.
