We beat Leicester 3-2 on the opening game of the season. Zaha scored his first palace goal. A scrappy volley lob as he was jumping if I remember rightly. Were we 3-0 up at one point in that game, I can't remember exactly?

I was there in the upper holmesdale and I remember before the game telling my brothers to look out for Zaha because I'd seen a bit of him the previous season and he was the nuts.

Maybe it doesn't need another thread, but I thank my lucky stars we still have that young man in a palace shirt. The last few years have been amazing and he is a huge part of why. Have never enjoyed watching a player as much as him. When he came back and scored against Newcastle I was absolutely over the moon that he was back where he belonged.

Who else was there against Leicester?

What are your favourite moments that you have seen of his career in the past 7 years and what do you remember about the day?

Let's have a little Zaha love in before the season starts.

My particular memory of that day was Alan Lee practicing tap ins pre match and thinking he shouldn't really have to practice those then once the game kicked off Lee scored a tap in exactly as he'd been practicing

walking down the holmesdale road to see the palace aces!

Was there, before the away fans were moved from the other end of the AW so was at that end of the AW when Wilf stuck it in the Whitehorse end, was a very good finish. After the nerve shredding 90 mins at Hillsborough 3 months earlier it was good to know we were on the up ! Favourite Wilf moment has to be at the Andrex, for either of his 2 (although unfortunately had to watch that on the telly and jump around the lounge with the lad instead!).

Exactly the same, except swap your lad for my eldest daughter and repeat every few weeks via the wonders of youtube :-)

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

I went to the first leg at our place and was convinced we were going to lose at their place after the Murray injury. I watched the second leg in a pub in coulsdon. The most nerve shredding moment for me was when Wardy headed the ball off the line in the final. I couldn't watch. I don't think I enjoyed the day at all. When we won I was just knackered. It sunk in a couple of days later.

Was that the game where Yannick invented a piece of skill to absolutely ruin walker?

it is just a joy to watch a player with his skill play for -- and stay at -- Palace. I just love watching him play football when he's really brimming with confidence. obviously the Brighton goals were ecstasy...but so many other moments besides.

sometimes in games he'll be average and you can almost see him fire himself up and transform his game and our play. I love that too.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

He's scored many better goals, but the second vs Brighton gave me the most joy. [Link]

I was at that game. Came back from Australia with an Aussie bird of mine and took four Aussie girl mates living in London to their first Palace game, scattered around block B with the fanatics. I didn't know they had taken over the area I used to have my season ticket. Was quite the experience.

I was at the Leicester game. 3-0 up, when they pulled it back to 3-2 I remember thinking typical bloody Palace!

Best Zaha memories the playoffs as a whole- the goals vs Brighton, and then drawing the foul for KP to score the penalty in the Final. Magic
