There may well be outs as well as ins, but the two sales which if they went ahead would damage Palace most would be Townsend and Cabaye.

Hughes obviously willing to go to club record 18 mill!Townsend is useless as wingback and for that amount just splash out on Sakho before it is too late...

That could be because he was neither purchase as nor has ever played as one. He always seemed pretty effective to me when playing on the opposite wing to Zaha. I'm not too sure that Sakho would make much of a wing-back either.

£15 mil won't happen. Who knows if the right price comes in.

There are question marks hanging over Townsend because we only have wing backs on the left, so Townsend is playing RWB. If we're going to fill that hole it would surely be cheaper to sign a RWB rather than a right sided forward, even with a fee from selling Townsend. Townsend is now a hard worker and consistent performer. Sh1t, sounds more like a RWB. This right side is an issue with players we're supposed to have that suit a 3-4-3.

Selling to replace again isn't what I think is going to happen. Selling and getting by is more likely and Loftus Cheek coming in and Riederwald plus another versatile right sided defender is possibly a clue as to where those sales will be.

He's worth at least 20m. I think he could be an important part of the squad. If Townsend does continue at wingback, who do you think will play alongside Zaha and Benteke?

I can't see Andros going anywhere, especially not for that price.

We are trying to build a better squad with more depth.

Also, why would he go to Stoke. We are a far more sexy club than Stoke these days.

If he's consistently played at RWB I can see him eventually wanting out, especially when there's a RF slot being filled in by youth players and Sako.

Hopefully FDB has told him it's just temporary until we get a proper RWB in.

Losing those two players would damage the team if that was the end of the story. Look at the bigger picture. If they don't fit in the new system their transfer fees and wages go toward getting in the players that do and making us a better team. Now, doesn't the outlook seem a little brighter and less damaging now?

Whatever, Townsend is absolute useless when it comes to defending!

Certainly not his strong suit.
I'm yet to be convinced he can be an effective right-wing back.

I expect, or hope, he has been told it's temporary. Got to get the actual RWB in still.

How do you know there is any truth in any of this. For example, how many times have we supposed to have signed Martins Indi??? Apparently it was a done deal weeks ago. Most of all this is total social media tripe
