Evening all , how is everyone? quick question really as the new season is approaching and I have now NOT had SS for a year soooooo....... Currently Sky with no sky sports paying £55pm and to add sky is £20pm. Ive had it before for maaaaaany moons but binned it due to excessive cost and loss of sport to BT etc.. however I like the cricke, F1, Prem etc.. it is currently on offer for an extra £20pm for an 18 month contract which is not to bad but if I can get cheaper then why not What are you all doing? Who is your provider and if you do not mind what are you paying? do people work for sky who can help? No Virgin available in my area.
Also sorry gents I'm going to go rogue to another side note and very very off topic The Mrs likes musicals and I have never bee, is there a preferable site to purchase tickets from

If you're near the end of your contract then give them a call and tell them you want to cancel because you don't really watch much TV anymore. They'll then call back a week or so later offering you a better price. I told them I still wanted to cancel it, and they said asked whether there was a price I'd be happy with paying, and I managed to get it down to £32 a month for everything other than movies.

Been with Sky for nigh on 17 years & my annual contract just ended, had been paying £65 a month for HD, Sports, Movies, Box sets etc (think is was called Sky World). Have to call them every year to haggle & moan & this month it shot up to £80 a month, called & the first guy knocked off £11 & said that was all he could offer, so I said cancel the lot & he put me through to another guy (the last chance saloon). Bent his ear over 'customer loyalty' & the fact that they've now locking you into an 18 month contract opposed to the old 12 month one so it needed to be a decent deal or I'm off & he got it down to £59.20 a month for everything, tried to chop a few bits off to justify a cut but ended up giving me the lot for £6 less than I've been paying. Heard about the Kodi boxes but not tech savvy enough to sort one out or keep re-doing channels when they get shut down.

Kodi ain't easy for the non tekkers but it gives you saturdat 3pm games. For the broke amongst us it'd a godsend. Plus if you can't make an away game... You can tell ya missus your not going primark and Starbucks in Croydon on a Saturday now.

I pay £26 a month for box sets with Sky Sports + £12 for multiscreen. If you cancel you can get a good 50% off during the 30 day cancellation period. They even start peppering your sky box and online area with offers if you let it get 2 weeks + in.

How is this going to affect Kodi users.
I'd rather keep it legal.

I'd rather keep it legal. Isn't Premier League Pass legal for you at £200 per year? Or is that just New Zealand?

Great advice. We did the same with similar results. They need your custom more than anything else therefore haggle like mad and remember that basic rule in any form of retail is that 'the customer is right'...(even though latter very rarely is)

Going to hi-jack this a little if i may... Has anyone dealt with talk talk broadband, i'm moving to East Grinstead in the next couple of weeks and looking for decent and cheap broadband, they are offering 18 month contract with which includes broadband (39mb download) but includes Tv and a deal on SS for £8.50 a month for the whole 18 month contract, which is amazing but don't want to risk have sh*t broadband as a result!
