Is it me or is this bloke an absolute weapon? I thought once he got going last season he totally rejuvenated the midfield. He let others focus on what they do best, while he just made sure no one bossed us in the middle. His ball distribution wasn't shabby either. We struggled with penalties. Then he came in. The one against Arsenal was driven with might into the bottom corner. Absolutely no chance for the keeper. And, watching the West Brom friendly (??) last week he took it upon himself at half time to inform them politely that if they keep fcuking with Wilf they will have him to deal with! I think I would have had second thoughts! I think he could flourish this year in red and blue. Sam has left us with gem!
Now here's Wright, his first chance to see what he can do, and he's through, it's Wright, ohhhh what an impact by the substitute. And it's Ian Wright who's sent the Palace fans into ecstasy! |

Fast becoming one of my favourite players on the pitch. Just comes across as a genuine nice bloke but also is a complete animal on the pitch. The amount he does off the ball is nice to see.

"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!" |

Calling someone an 'absolute weapon' is an insult from where I come from ... ... but I agree with the sentiment!

He's a genuine replacement for Jedinak, and exactly what we have missed since we let him go...

Fantastic piece of business by Palace. Could see from his first game that we had been missing this kind of player. Like others see him as Captain in the very near future.
Curly eagles dad, 45 years of Palace. Never ever a dull moment, Oh Happy Days |
