In the few cup games, I've seen him he look strong and very capable at prem league level , only 19 so fits the criteria that de Boer searching for can play right back, centre back and defensive midfielder. He was originally in the Ajax academy, so de Boer would know him. He's hardly gonna get a real chance at Man Utd after they finished their spending. Even a loan deal with a view to buy wouldn't be a bad option.

Sounds a good idea to me. There are 'rumours' about der Wiel coming in as a right wing back, but concerns that he might have lost form and fitness. This guy if he has come through the Ajax academy might have a natural understanding of how FdB wants to play, and be a good fit for Palace

His only 19 and doesn't count towards the 25 man squad also. Win win

Win win A problem might be that he is too good ie wiki tells me he has already played for the Manure first team, and might well be tagged as a first team regular?

Mourinho doesn't give kids a chance, maybe a loan deal especially if the budget tight. Can't see Mensah being a first team regular this season if they buy matic .

Great suggestion, especially if we can't persuade Riedewald. Then this deal makes perfect sense. Will Man Utd sell because I'd rather buy then develop for Man Utd benefit. We'd be left with same issue 12 months later.

But someone like Fosu-Mensah would stil be a better bet as a starter?

He's a great talent however my understanding is man united see him as a DM and I don't think there going to want to loan him to a club to play in a different position than that that they have him ear marked for. Good suggestion but don't think it'll happen
