Anyone got any idea exactly when Wickham is likely to be fully fit? It makes a huge difference on how urgent it is to buy a new striker.

Don't get me wrong because I like him but can't see him playing many games again. A big man but needs to be wrapped up in cotton wool. I am sure somebody will know but don't think he has ever made more than about 5 games running before an injury came along.

The type of injury he sustained will make him slower. And speed is something he needed.

I think need to give up on him as a permanent sick note & he hardly pulled up any tree's when he was fit! Originally posted by CPFC/SCCC

He's made of glass, so he'll be back for about a month and then off again. Anyone could have told Pardew it was a stupid buy. Edited by steven_t92 (01 Aug 2017 5.52pm)

He's a good player. I hope he returns. Yes he's been out with injuries, but I wouldn't kick him out just yet. I think he's as good if not a bit better running at goal with the ball at his feet than Big Ben. He offers something different. Maybe a loan around Christmas might be in order to get him game time.

So if he's back before xmas he will have done well. Even then with such a serious injury he may have lost pace. Although I like him he really is more of a liability.
