I talking to my dad, about which players would get in the premier league, last time we was in the premier league. I was thinking I wished, we signed Michael Hughes in his prime, great impact and great role model. Also Anthony Gardener was a great signing but imagine if he was younger. Is there anyone else you thought that you wished we signed them earlier in their career.

Cabaye. He's been good recently but the younger player was sublime on his day - good enough to get into a top 5 side. By the time PSG signed him I think he was starting to wane physically (and mentally perhaps). Flamini to name another obvious one. He's just not got the same motor these days unfortunately.

Remy was a good player, always a risk getting him last season. It would have been a worthwhile gamble has we also retained Gayle. Just having Remy was just stupid. Agree with Gardner, he was fantastic. May not fit exactly with the theme but I wish Jedinak had played under Allardyce, maybe a few years ago after Pulis left. Under Pulis Jedinak was one of the best DM's in Europe, Pardew ruined Jedinak, I think the decline in fitness and performance analysis hurt Mile's game. He ended up being too big and immobile.

Gayle asked to leave, he never suited our formation and when had the opportunity, he didn't impress. Great finisher , but you need more to your game in the prem. Danny Gabbidon

Obviously choice Super Kevin Phillips. Can you imagine him playing for Palace, when he won golden boot.
