It's the transfer window and of course Crystal Palace have been linked with players all around the world. Some realistic and others not so, however as I see the rumours go in roundabouts I thought about what players and what positions would actually strengthen our squad. A new goalkeeper is a must, mandanda is clearly not going to play for palace anytime soon and Hennessy divides opinions after each game he plays, and as for Mr Crystal Palace, Speroni, is long past his best. Of course the list of goalkeepers linked Were phenomenal, Pickford, Zoet, Begovic just to name a few. Although none went through. Having a good goalkeeper is for me one of the most important positions to having a good team. Although this is not the only position in the squad that needs improvements, centre backs, right backs, a midfielder and a striker. This becomes quite costly. So parish and his team will need to increase the funds to make improvements in each area, there's also a lot of dead wood in the squad too. Chung Yong lee is a prime example a player who was brought in only as a marketing scheme for an Asian market but never made a sight into the first team. We are a stable team now and these sort of players are no longer needed and with players who are no longer required for even the bench get rid of them! The wages decrease the players get a new chance at another team and this brings in more space for better potential players or better quality players that can make palace a more competitive team in the top half of the table. With Loftus Cheek looking set and Sakho nearly certain that's two positions strengthened. In all the future looks bright with our new manager and I'm hoping he brings in more players and promotes more from the youth academy and then hopefully we can stabilise our club in the top half of the table this upcoming season.
