Described as 'anti-capitalist' protesters. What would they prefer to capitalism then - communism - anarchy fascism - religious theocracy?

They're no better than the idiots we see at football who go purely for the violence. But for some reason they feel they can justify it as it's to do with 'world issues'... And gullible idiots actually support what they do to. Actually come to think of it they're worse than football hooligans... They generally look to fight with like minded people. These t***s over in Germany will attack anyone or anything but justify it in the name of 'Capitalism'
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

I suspect that most aren't anti-capitalist protestors so much as people disillusioned with aspects of capitalism and the inequity within the system - notably things like the exploitation of the third world. Its just easier to call them anti-capitalist.

Its just easier to call them anti-capitalist. I agree. But also there are plenty of them just out for a bit of police baiting and vandalism. Who else was in trafalgar square back in 1990 for the poll tax demos? Plenty of "normal" people there who'd had enough. But plenty of complete nut jobs too. 1990 was a great year!

I have no respect for anyone who 1: wears a mask while demonstrating 2: uses violence while demonstrating? Masks show cowardice. Violence shows knobheadedness.

On of the leading organising organisations Rote Flora has said: ""We are calling on the world to make Hamburg a focal point of the resistance against the old and new capitalist authorities." What are their solutions?

What are their solutions? Well if the history of groups by the name Rote in Hamburg is anything to go by, their solutions probably aren't in the interests of anyone who owns a BMW or is called Shyler.

Masks are practical, because the police will otherwise turn up, smash your door in at 5am, and mob handed drag you from your bed. Violence, yeah, I think sometimes it can be necessary, but in truth, its not like smashing some fences up and causing a bit of a ruckus at the G20 is going to change anything. And I doubt these people really have much more than a Rote Army Faction fantasy and thrills in mind.

Communists tend to be anti-business, as do anarchists. Well both Russia and China have businesses don't they? And they trade with capitalists.
