I may have told this story before, so apologies in advance. In all the years I've lived in the USA, I have never to the best of my knowledge met anyone who claims to have English heritage although most If not all of the founding Fathers were English. (bit like Kermit) I've had people tell me they are Irish, Italian, Greek, Israeli,Turkish, Polish, Italian Etc. I once had a guy actually say to me one time in a Bar that he was actually a 'Cornish American' even (the proper paddy) behind the bar rolled his eyes....

I don't know, Cornwall about as Tory as it gets, and has been for years... I had to check the date on this, SEEMS like it should be an April Fools story, but apparently deadly serious. Madness. Although, at least the British sense of humour is making light of it
