Couldn't see this posted anywhere else.

Quite a crash, and then two others fly over the top of Cavendish too. The bloke with the big elbow says he doesn't deserve to get kicked out!

Peter Sagan. Was a green jersey contender this year too.

Cavendish's team boss was really angry with Sagan, raging about elbows at 60km / hr. He has a point.

Maybe Cav will try and get fit enough to have a crack at the vuelta later this year.

Sagan definitely at fault, didn't keep his line.

I am a big fan of Cavendish he is one of my favourite sportsmen but the elbow thing is a bit pot kettle. Sprints are often like that and Cav has form himself.

The DQ of Sagan seems a bit harsh but he has caused a couple of crashes and I do wonder if there is an element of enough is enough.

5Live have a good interview with Cavendish recorded before the tour that is worth a listen.

the dignified don't even enter in the game
