Football should be 3pm on a Saturday. Early and late, Sunday and weekday kick offs should only be a product of necessity.

The perfect match, is where you can roll up to the game, after lunch, a few beers before kick off, take your seat for the game, then out at 5pm to the pub for a evening of refreshment, possibly home on a quite night in time for a few home beers and some match of the day.

Its just not the same with 12.30 or 5.30 kick offs, and Sundays just suck if you have to work in the Monday.

With the hike in costs for broadcast rights the broadcasters need to recoup their money from somewhere, and given that they are the real power brokers in the modern game what they want they usually get. It's not right but thank the w@anker David Dein and his greedy co-conspirators for that.
