Reporting in the daily star, no very reliable but if he's available. He would be a massive coup but face competition from West Ham and Everton.

If it was a choice between Sakho and smalling. Who would fans choose interested to know.

For me Sakho leadership put him head and shoulders above smalling.

Sakho if it was a choice, but that doesn't mean I'd turn my nose up at Smalling.

He's very injury prone and last season fa cup final. I personally thought he was one of the worst players on the pitch.

I'm comparing him to what we have. How many centre backs do we have in the current squad that are better/as good than him? You could probably argue 2 at most?

No your right. He's probably better than all if we honest but like joe hart , he's overrated .

Yep, I think we're in agreement. In order of preference (if money were no object) I'd like:

1) Sakho and Smalling
2) Just Sakho
3) Just Smalling
4) Missing out on both

Smalling was the first player in PL history to score 2 goals coming on as a substitute. Think a couple of years ago against Burnley if my memory serves me well.

It was Roy Hodgson who signed the teenage Smalling for Fulham.

Wow - we have been linked with Stockdale and Smalling both of whom Hodgson signed for Fulham !!!!

I think very few would prefer anyone else over Sakho. While Smalling indeed would be a coup I cannot see it being a viable option with the wages he must be on.

Exactly, can't see an England international being more affordable than Sakho. Reckon there is absolutely no truth to this one at all. That said, I'd be pleased if we signed him!

"On 11 February 2015, Smalling became the first player in the history of the Premier League to score two first-half goals as a substitute..."

I found it directly from his wikipedia page too. Thanks for that.
