"AUSSIE football fans have slammed Saudi Arabia for not observing a minutes’ silence at the start of its World Cup Qualifier in Adelaide. The Adelaide Oval crowd and Socceroos players all paused to remember the two Australians lost in the weekend’s terrorist attack in London, only for the visitors to fail to do likewise. Instead the Saudi’s went to their positions and began warming up, as the Socceroos stood with arms around each other on halfway." It would appear that it's "un-Islamic'.

England got grilled by fifa for wearing poppies, lets see what happens with this. i can't lie, i've got less and less time for islam each passing day. Religion of peace? doesn't seem like it. seems like its mostly extremist sympathizers some of which can't hide their disdain for the west even when participating in a sport born from western culture. And yes, these extremist sympathizers are average muslims. There are poll results and statistics to prove it if you don't believe it.

Is there a return fixture? If so, I trust the Aussies will be returning the cultural sensitivity favour by filling their dressing room with beer, hookers, and bacon rolls - to not do so would be un-australian

No rules saying they have to do this but it just shows the atitude of these people. It's about time the football bodies set in place universal rules what is the point of people like fifa and all these other bodies having different rules there should be global rules and then each league change change some minor things only

Fair point - he meant to refer to Saudi Arabia as 'friends' according to him. (Well maybe not quite but it shows what a dick he is). Edited by Helmet46 (08 Jun 2017 6.04pm)

To$$ers ... apparently it was "not in keeping with Saudi culture". Obviously, Saudis don't respect anyone. Ozzies won 3-2. Edited by Henry of Peckham (08 Jun 2017 9.18pm)
