Talk about a reality check moment. Not remotely a case of virtue signalling (as have been accused by some previously) but I approach this topic as a father foremost and a teacher secondly, and this little lad has really caught my attention in so far that he is a brave, plucky, principled little hero who puts real life into perspective. I appreciate that other children are tragically experiencing similar, if not worse, challenges, however what would you do if you were Bradley's parents? Update: [Tweet Link]
Fundraising Campaign: [Link] Hopes and prayers aplenty for Bradley and parents, and others suffering in comparative silence.

If I were his parents I'd try to go somewhere awesome with him - maybe with his best mate. Its a shame for him that Sunderland got relegated and then Defoe moved to Bournemouth

Puts things in perspective... as long as your loved ones are healthy, then you really should be happy.

As a father, I simply feel for the sheer pleasure-come-utter-hell that this sterling family are experiencing given most recent news that Bradley's health status is deteriorating fast. Every innocent life especially matters - what has this little Super Trouper every done wrong other than raise a smile for everybody else. Sure there are others in a similar position without the media attention, and I include them into this scenario. = life in real perspective.

Reading todays update from the parents it sounds as though the end is near for this poor little boy. I hope he is free from his pain very soon and doesn't go on suffering much longer

Agree. F*cking gutted for his family, doesn't seem like he has long left. No rules in the grand scheme of things or ian brady would have been aborted and Bradley Lowrey would live to a hundred.

Desperately sad to read that Bradley's health has rapidly declined and that we are probably talking about a couple of days, if not hours. Heartbreaking to read as a parent. Such moving photographs though especially with 'his best friend, Jermain Defoe' dropping by unexpectedly to cuddle up to him for a few hours: [Tweet Link]
