With Appiah leaving us ... a family member said he is starting to feel like we are turning into Man City - not giving youth a chance ... have ANY youth players played Premier league games for us last season? Pretty sure Lapado and/or Anderson did?
They say hard work never hurt anyone ... but why take a chance? |

I can think of worse things than turning into a Man City.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I'm sure that Parish would like nothing better than to have sufficient quality in the academy that he didn't have to spend £25m on a pair of left sided defenders. Hopefully this season the top performing youngsters will be sent out on half season loans to Championship sides to see how they fare

Mind you Chelsea earn money from loaning out 38 players. I would like to see a limit to the number of players that any club can loan out which would stop rich clubs buying up the best talent but not playing them

If any of our youngsters were any good they would be going to bigger clubs than the likes of Shrewsbury, Doncaster and Luton.

I think we kept him for too long because he isn't young, he's 26 and never really looked like getting into the first team. I would like to see a few more younger players given a chance though but at this moment in time we really have only got a few
