With the season ending last week and a discussion of whether, we keeping or releasing the players that contracts up. Are we falling behind other sides in the league. Despite Parish not expecting Sam resignation. Where does this leaves the likes of Ledley and others. Also with West Ham signing Zabaleta are we going to be missing out on transfer targets. We all hope for a managerial appointment soon but how longs realistic ?

It's unseasonally warm here but we've been experiencing drough for nearly two years, so it's not unexpected.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

I do know what you mean. I've no idea what's actually going on, but I hope this is not going to be one of our long, drawn-out affairs as I think we need to get managerial matters settled PDQ, and I mean next week. We're not so secure in this league that we can spend a month navel gazing.

Think the Zabaleta deal was agreed in principle a while ago.

Ledley seems to be returning to Cardiff City. I think his star set round here just before half time in the home match against Sunderland following a series of ghastly cock-ups.

I mean it's no big loss if Ledley leaves but if the new manager comes in and need to bring in as many as 8 players due to the amount released. We don't want another warnock situation. Where a player like zeki fryers handed a 3 yr deal after coming into 5 season. I'm hoping, we're be more prepared.

It's our style to do this. And no I don't like it as 'part of the palace roller coaster' as a lot of it is avoidable. Buying players for positions that we should've done 6 months before and such like.

No we aren't.

Ledley has gone, there was a tweet the other day

We have had players extend contracts. Kelly, Speroni and I believe Delaney. Those that haven't, contracts don't expire until 30th June, over four weeks away.

Just signed Zaha on a new deal.

Dodged a bullet with Silva

Players and managers are usually on holiday now.

Nothing to worry about at the moment

the dignified don't even enter in the game

We always seem to be like the bloke who sees the "cliff edge unstable" sign, but can't resist trying to impress his mates by going and jumping up and down on the threshold of the precipice. One day that's going to be our serious undoing. We've got away with it so far, but eventually it's going to be our downfall. Let's hope it's later rather than sooner.

There's no confirmation of any extended player contacts, Zaha being the only piece of definite work on that front. We can't wait a month to sort out the other contract issues. Your opinion on Silva is just that, an opinion and it would appear that neither he nor Watford were "on holiday" and Zaha was well up for talking turkey as well. We're not some goliath of the PL who can easily survive the odd setback, we're a struggling club who haven't got time to piss about getting our act together, so yes there is something to "worry about".

Does anyone here think that if Parish seriously wanted to sign Silva up he would've gone on holiday and "got round to it" next week? Bollocks. For whatever reason, he didn't want to do that deal.

And I don't see how anyone here is qualified to call that decision into question.
