Look at the last time a manager made a recommendation. Sir Alex suggested David moyes. Whilst I respect wilder achievements. This is the toughest league in the world.

Brilliantly put!

Thankfully Fat Sam has jogged on and as such he has no part in appointing our next manager.

I don't believe for a minute SP et al are dumb enough to appoint a manager from League 1, regardless of what they may have achieved in the lower leagues.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

Wilder had been brilliant wherever he's been. He's earnt his team 199 points over the past two seasons. Sheff Utd play some great stuff as well.

But we'd HAVE to know what he can do in the Championship before we'd even consider letting him get his arse on an interview seat.

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

Zero experience at this level. Would probably have been great if we had been relegated.

I am informed he was present at the Kell Brook fight last night in Sheffield.
Wilder is Sheff Utd "Through and through".

Maybe Sam is just thinking ahead to next Christmas and a 2 million quid bonus. Where he gets a call from Parish when we are on the verge of relegation, with Wilder in charge.

Very funny. I wouldn't say something like that, out the question though. With our constant need for firefighters to save seasons.

You are correct.
Chris Wilder is my brothers best mates son. A very competent manager having been promoted with Oxford, Northampton and now Sheff U. Still learning his trade and not ready for Palace just yet. But keep an eye out though. He is also as Willo has posted, Sheff Utd through and through.

He would still be better than any of Monk, Pardew, Hodgeson, Moyes or McClaren.
