Donating £100,000 of their own money to help the victims families of last night terrible events in Manchester.

Total respect and a remarkable gesture from them both.

Just wish more footballers and those involved with football who earn stupid amounts of money can forget about how many £'s are in their bank accounts and think about following Yaya Toure's generous gesture.

Perhaps they do but don't feel the need to do it in a blaze of publicity after all no-one knew what a generous man George Michael was until after he died

Yeah, if i were a club owner in The Prem i would make it part of any player's contract that 2.5% of their salary must go back to the community to help the disadvantaged with all manner of sporting and other projects and to make sure they are involved too so can see where the dosh is going.

Yes... Yes a million times.
Same with David Sullivan and the homeless man. Great what he's doing but by God he wants everyone to know about it doesn't he. His son was on this morning yesterday and the homeless man was on via video link. He was literally the spare part to the story as the son talked about what they were donating and how it came about the man was silent stood like a spare prick at a wedding on the video. First thing that came to my mind was George Michael and the people he helped and no one even knew.

When I was a young girl my Mother said to me.. You listen here kid you're CPFC

Maybe Wilf should think about it considering his new lucrative
Contract.

they'll just negotiate in effect, a 102.5% salary at that point.

He already does. I remember seeing a video a year or so ago, where he said he donates a percentage of his weekly salary to charity.
