No surprise there then.
To be wronged is nothing unless you continue to remember it. |

My understanding is that he was NOT best pleased that he wasn't going to be as supported financially as he had hoped with the owner trying to sell the club and maybe if he had known this prior to joining he might not have accepted the job. Think that his total spend was @ £35 Mill but he lost players like PVA,Fletcher,Kaboul, Coates, Bridcutt etc for probably @ £16 Mill. Looks like he resigned at Sunderland as he won't be getting any compensation. Not been good for Moyes in recent seasons when you consider Man Utd, Real Sociedad and now Sunderland.

I don't think he's a bad manager, just made some bad choices Man U he was out of his depth and Sunderland were doomed and poorly run Hes no worse than, say, Sean Dyche

When I first heard he'd got the job I realy thought it would be Sunderland's season for pushing on and not being involved in the relegation mire. Then Moyes arrived and was negative from the get go. Quite how he'll rebuild his reputation from here is anyone's guess.
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |

Quite how he'll rebuild his reputation from here is anyone's guess. I seem to recall that he was not best pleased to find out that funding was not as he had anticipated with the owner looking to sell and that if he had known beforehand he might not have accepted the job.Obviously I am NOT privy to any discussions that took place between Moyes and the owner before he agreed to take up the challenge at Sunderland. Off the top of my head, Moyes' signings were Mika (G),Oviedo, Love,Lescott, Djilobodji, McNair,Pienaar, Denayer (Loan), Gibson, Ndong, Anichebe, Januzaj (Loan).Might have been more. He lost the likes of PVA, Fletcher, Kaboul,Coates,Bridcutt and maybe more than this. His 'Net' spend wasn't that great in PL terms. Edited by Willo (23 May 2017 9.01am)

Good luck to him not needing the reported three million pound pay off. How about accepting the pay off and giving it to a charity.
