Quote Apparently the pet name they had for Pardew was ‘chocolate’… because ‘he loved himself that much he’d have eaten himself’.

I wonder how Bannan and Hunt feel about the prospect of Pardew taking over seeing as he has already sold them both once already as he thought they weren't good enough

They'll have a great first season and then the genuine Pardew Effect will kick in.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

Wednesday will make very little progress on the pitch under AP,but one thing for sure, he will improve their dancing.

I'm amazed anyone's thinking of appointing this idiot after the mess he left us in. I can only suppose they intend to do what we didn't, i.e. boot his arse out the moment they smell s***e.

Maybe that's it. Amazing first season to get them promoted then boot him out.

Maybe he'll have found his niche and his level because for championship clubs that's a great return.

I came to this conclusion when someone asked me yesterday. 'He'll do alright for 12-18 months then undo it all. Oh that time period might get them promoted. Worth a go then.'

They will start off great then when he's got rid of the strong characters and got them playing 'tippy tappy' they'll be sh**

He's got quite a decent championship reputation and profile. It might be that his 'lack of exercise regime' translates better in that league, where everyone plays at least 46 games a season, and often play twice in seven days.
