“I have really enjoyed my time here because I have had the opportunity to play with some great players in a really good squad, it is a club with really good owners, manager and stadium." Stadium?

Probably means the atmosphere and the pitch is in good nick. Pretty sure he's never had to use the toilets in the Arthur...
"Brighton are talking about how they're coming for us. And it's like, we've been waiting in the Premier League for you for ages." Wilfried Zaha, 2017. |

I think he means the crowd, he referred to Liverpool as a 'country' so I think it's safe to say his English isn't perfect yet.

Or buy a beer. Or eat a pie. Only time I ever enjoyed the bar there was delaying going back for the second half of the Sunderland game.

I am hoping his English is so bad that he doesn't know the difference between current and past tense and what he actually meant to say is "I am currently enjoying my time here and look forward to playing here forever and ever and ever and ever"

As far as the stadium quote is concerned Sakho may like the closeness of it to the pitch, how all the stands sing for the team not just part of it and the displays done at The Holmesdale end. I would think as he hasn't been playing recently he's had time to notice and see all this. I'm not saying when you play you don't just more time to.
The pyramid to beat all pyramids!! Find out what team is in which division, eg which division is Coppull United in? |
