With Mandanda inevitably going back to France, and Hennessy not being up to the job, which goalkeeper would you like to see us bring in. Jordan Pickford seems a decent shout imo, especially now Sunderland are down. Opinions?

Before we were linked with him last week i thought Tom Heaton might be a good option. I see we are now being linked with Stockdale, not sure about him though

In my opinion he's not even close to being as good as Hennessey. If we signed Stockdale I can only think it'd be as a 2nd or 3rd choice keeper. Before anyone jumps on me, he's obviously not terrible. I just think he'd be a below average keeper for the Prem.

I should caveat, I watched a few streams of Brighton games this season and never at any point did I think the lack of goals they'd conceded in a game was down to the keeper. In all the ones I watched either the defence did a decent job or the opposition were far too limp to test the keeper.

I watch quite a few of the Australia national team's matches and always been impressed by Mat Ryan. He was brilliant for Club Brugge, and got a big money move to Valencia a couple of years ago where it hasn't quite worked out for him, partially due to injuries. Still very highly rated though and should be on the market this summer, although of course lack of Premier League experience is a risk. Worth mentioning as well that he has a British passport, so no work permit issues and presumably has family over here.

CPFC will be fancied by too many for Championship drop after next season therefore transfer period will be crucial if we can stay up after Hull game. Major autopsy required by inner workings of club esp. with player appraisals of season.

Other good keepers who are slightly under the radar are Stephane Ruffier, Mattia Perin and Bernd Leno. Of these I think Leno would be a great option and probably reasonable price. Still quite young too.

Sounds like we are in big for Joe Hart. Could be a really good signing. I think City would prefer to sell to us than a top 6 side

I really would like us to get serious about a goalie: a top tenner. Joe Hart standard but I don't care who. LOL, bless WH, but the lack of confidence he inspires has actually made our defense (with Sahko, Tomkins or Dann) AWESOME because they play like hell to stop any shots at him! I don't think Hull got ONE shot on target! So, put a Joe Hart in there and it's going to be impregnable!
