We had a lot of injuries this season, but it's clearly shown the lack of quality in the squad. A lot of fans thought this is the best squad we assembled. We can all blame pardew, he is part of the problem but the likes of puncheon, Delaney and many others are not up to prem anymore. If I was big Sam I would only keep Zaha,Benteke, Townsend and cabaye. The rest have massively let us down this season. Where's the James mcarthur of 2016. Even luka not as good as we first thought. It a big summer ahead to rectify a very poor squad. It proves that Sam doesn't trust the subs on the bench.

Obviously it doesn't work like that granted. Put this way if any of the other players left I wouldn't be disappointed. Tomkins has done well also. I'm up to 5. 6 more and I got a strarting 11.

Firstly we need to release some players before we can recruit. As Sean Dyche mentioned yesterday it is not the fees that are crippling but the wages. Due to this many players won't just move either in or out of a club. If we shave off the amounts you suggest we will be skint just paying off contracts. Then if we wish to recruit at the levels of the players you mention the wages will be huge. Therefore we should be looking at the fringes, releasing players and trying to get in some quality, 4 or 5 changes like last season, Sakho being the big signing if possible. Hopefully this will increase competition in the squad which is lacking in some positions.

One or possibly two of your chosen retained players will probably leave in the summer. Certainly need to move on a good number of players and then,if possible, sign Sakho plus three or four others (Keeper, AM, RB). Steady improvement of squad Not a 'fire sale' followed by panic buys.

What we need is 3-4 quality additions each window. Players who will either be automatic starters or will push hard for a start. We need genuine competition for places. About half a dozen or so of the current 25 have about as much chance as me of playing
