Never mind about that Commie codswallop. I remember when girls still used to dance around the Maypole in Ashburton Park,Addiscombe. Must have been in the sixties.

Took the family to the Sweeps Festival (again) in Rochester this weekend. No maypoles (I remember them too) but more morris than you could shake a stick at.
