In the article about Sam bemoaning the pathetic refereeing it claims the lighter came from the front of the Holmesdale. I assume it's meaning the HF. Is this a fact and do they have the guy responsible? As the most watched group in the ground, if it came from the HF it should be easy to find the culprit with all the surveillance cameras on them. Thing is someone saw it done, someone knows who did it, but you're not allowed to snitch, so the consequent closure of the lower Holmesdale and the enforcement of sitting will be worth the silence, I'm sure?
I don't know who threw it and if it was from the HF then they will of taken stupidity to a new level. Thing is someone even said to me that if the crowd are provoked what do you expect? Provoked, they scored a goal and are allowed to celebrate where they want. Our players quite happily do the same at away grounds as a response to abuse and that's how it should be. If any of you are really serious about the provocation bulls***, then the only cure is to ban away teams from scoring. Totally moronic cure to a totally moronic belief.
Obviously the Adebayor type of celebration is definitely not encouraged, but cupping your ear or shushing is definitely not provocation.

I watched on t.v. . LOOKED to come from down that end. Remember though the hf don't occupy every seat in every row of those blocks so may have nothing to do with them. By sport commentator hinted at it coming from somewhere in that section. Simply said it looks to have been thrown from their noisiest section of supporters. They droned on about it for a while calling the person an idiot and speculating whether the club will face some retrospective punishment as did match of the day. Anything for them to get on their moral high horse about

From the angle it flew in from, it looked like it came from higher than the HF, maybe even the upper tier.

Now, there's an idea.

Seriously though, whoever threw the lighter, coins or whatever should be banned for life, fined heavily(at the very least) and shamed on the pitch in shackles.

Shouldn't be too difficult with (I assume) HD cameras to find the culprit.

It came from a long way back and is a criminal act so let the police deal with it. As for players goading fans its stupid and gives idiots a reason to be idiotic like all clubs we have our fair share.

It was a plastic lighter that bounced of his head
not a brick

What a melt the Burnley player was
Should have called an ambulance and rushed him off to intensive care the way he was carrying on

Pathetic

That's not how it looked when I watched back the game from BT Sport; it would have to have been one hell of a shot if it did. I'd say it was thrown from the first few rows of Holmesdale B. Is their display for Hull going to be 'Against Throwing Objects'?

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

It was a 'hell of a shot' and did come far back from the lower tier and not upper.

I sit front row of the Upper above the HF (all the atmosphere, none of the standing/bad view) and could see it loop over several rows and get him straight on the bonce.

I can't say if it was HF or not but can almost guarantee it wasn't the Core of the group that make all the noise and flags at the front. It's all well and good saying to HF control your men but one idiot from thousands and back of the stand away from any 'leaders' is very hard to control.

One hell of a shot to hit a target that large. Do me a favour. If it came from the front then we will catch the culprit, cos as I've said they are under constant surveillance.

With all due respect I think you are missing the point.

Never watched the game so not seen the incident.

What I will say tho is don't blame the HF. They're the best thing that's happened to this club and they're all angels. They never cause any trouble and are the most important fans.
