He's last 2 starts 4-0 loss to Sunderland and today pathetic performance. If he was up against aguero, costa or Kane I could see reason. He was oughtfought but bloody Ashley Barnes. I would like to thank him for all his done (promotion and cup final). The premier league is not longer his level. Why does he keep calling for the ball, when he's distribution is shocking.

He came closes to scoring for us in the second half with an excellent effort. He wasn't match-sharp, but he was typically big-hearted. Lay off Damo!

He was outpaced by Ashley Barnes and vokes. I like Damo what he's done for the club but was really poor. Granted most players were poor. Luka was dreadful.

If we hadn't had the injuries we've had, he wouldn't have been playing at all. He was only ever meant to be cover this season. You're being unfair on him.

You may be right but if your in the 25 man squad. I'm just glad we got 38 pts. We can't rely on Damo anymore. He peels off to just hoof up front. Massive need an upgrade in the summer.

Seems harsh to be mean to Delaney after all he has given in recent years, but now he is a real liability. If we are out of centre-halves (oh we are) surely one of the midfielders could do a better job in that position. I think Ledley could.

He has been great for us, and untill recently a regular player in the Premier League so he can't have been too shabby.
But sadly as it will with us all, time has caught up with him,I love him but it's time to call it a day.
But right now he has to play ,we are all out of central defenders, so I shall back him to the end.

Who would you have played today instead of him?

Yes, a massive upgrade of the 5th choice centre back position.

There is little options however that doesn't mean he can't be criticised. If he plays that badly against city. I can see a 5-0 drubbing. I guess the only option is to play ward with Kelly and maybe mcarthur at rb.

You say his 5th choice. He started the season as 3rd choice cb behind dann and Tomkins. Kelly wasn't even considered as a cb under pardew. If we can't manage to sign Sakho then his 3rd/4th choice cb. Today he was a liability.

Bare bones today and not much on the bench. Team looked tired too. Not going to single out Delaney because he wouldn't have been starting if we didn't have 12 or so centre backs in the physio room. I think Sam thrashed a lot of the team to win 6 out of 8 and they look f**ked, but hopefully the groundwork is done and an odd point or two will see us safe.
