PALACE FOR EVER London 23 Apr 17 2.41pm | |
---|---|
Promotion - One space left for top two, between Newcastle & Huddersfield. Mathematically Reading can catch Newcastle but a GD difference of 36. If Newcastle win tomorrow then they go up. Relegation - Only Rotherham down. Other two decided between Wigan, Blackburn, Birmingham, Nottm Forest, QPR, Burton & Bristol City (very unlikely due to GD). All sides have two matches left.
The pyramid to beat all pyramids!! Find out what team is in which division, eg which division is Coppull United in? |

I'd like to see Fulham come up. And Birmingham go down.

I'd love it if Birmingham went down. It's no less than their idiot owners deserve after sacking Rowett when they were seventh and getting in Zola just because their investors liked the sound of his bulls***. Moronic decision of the decade.

My wife is BCFC and when Palace got promoted (the year Birmingham tonked us 4-0) all I got was "you'll come back down and Birmingham will come up" and "Birmingham are a much bigger team than Palace". I also had a row with her brother when Rowett was favourite to replace Pardew because he said Rowett was too good for Palace. For that reason I want them to go down. I'd like to see them storm League One next year though. Just one year with their tails between their legs. For going up, I'd like to see Huddersfield take 2nd place. They made Brighton look awful earlier in the season. They probably spunked their load a bit early, but would be so funny to see Newcastle finish 3rd and lose out in the playoffs. It'd even be worth it to see Brighton finish top (they are up anyway) if Newcastle didn't even get to go up. Also always had a soft spot for Sheffield Wednesday so would like to see them win the playoffs.

Would like to see Fulham come up, I have a payment history with them so should be able to get tickets in the home/neutral end if I can't get them in the away end. If not Fulham then anyone except Reading. Relegation for Wigan and Birmingham please. Unless Brighton can be docked 50 points for some reason.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

For no apparent reason, I feel a little sorry for Sunderland and Middlesborough that they will go down while Newcastle come up. Also, Newcastle is a team with delusions of grandeur - just because you can fill a good-sized stadium in a one-team town doesn't make you a big club. So, Newcastle not to come up. Fulham coming up would be fun. Not Leeds though. Otherwise, no preferences other than it being a strong candidate for immediate relegation.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Newcastle are up. In theory, anyone from 3 to 7 can make the playoffs, with Leeds on the outside looking in - 3 points behind Fulham in 6th with 2 games to go. Fulham having the tougher fixtures but +13 GD over Leeds.

Moronic decision of the decade. That's a bit unfair on the fans who had nothing to do with that decision and thought it as moronic as everyone else. I would like to see Sheffield Wednesday promoted just to see exactly how good (or bad) Bannan and Hunt would be in the Premiership given the backing of their manager and a decent run of games
