No it isn't however anyone could die with an investigation going on and someone's age and health as harsh as it sounds should have no bearing on them being investigated. However I agree it being done so publically isn't pleasant as child sex offences attract so much attention .

A family member of mine some years ago accused another elderly relative of historical abuse . The entire thing was a pack of lies but the case proceeded to crown court and a trial which subsequently collapsed. However it was motivated by them believing quite naively they would get compensation from some authority somewhere as a victim. The name of the accused quickly became common knowledge in the area in which they lived and in the local newspaper and they had bricks through their windows and all sorts of abuse
