He is brilliant.

He wouldn't be a bench warmer so Who would he replace?

Luca? Cabaye? McCarthur? Nope.

Puncheon? Probably if Sakho became manager.

I agree that he is an excellent player and would be a terrific addition to our team.
I would have him over Puncheon anyday.

If JC wants to go to Marseille, then it would leave that spot open.

I wanted him 2 years ago. Personally think he just a good set piece taker. He doesn't offer running beyond a Benteke. We need our number 10 to anticipate flick ons from striker. I also think his price will be high compared to his ability.

Indeed but we would face significant competition by clubs seemingly bigger than us.Besides, the price might be somewhat prohibitive with us only being able to afford him if we offloaded someone who would command a high transfer fee.

We were in for him before he chose Swansea.

Would have said yes a year ago but now he is in a dogfight at the wrong end of the table just doesn't look like he has the stomach for the fight. Looks lacklustre and like he doesn't care as he knows he can move on if/when Swans go down.

Compare that to the spirit our boys are showing explains why we are higher up the table.

Reports saying Everton and Southampton are in for him. If so he'd probably pick them.

If we stay up I think we have a much better man in place than last summer when it comes to recruitment and strengthening the parts of the squad that need it so I'm confident we will get the right players in.

Exactly. With all those other suitors he won't be coming our way at the end of the season.
