I'm not really bothered what he does in his spare time. He likes the media so he'll be pleased to have an opportunity to get on TV every week.

This. If it doesn't affect his running of the club (and why should it) I am not bothered. Did't Simon Jordan do a similar show? I seem to remember him being on their with a woman from the Gold family.

Perhaps Pardew will appear in front of him with a whizz-bang scheme for investing £100m in s***e footballers and crocks to build a team to try and win the Champions League. Got a feeling he might be "out".

Steve Parish is a great chairman but I'm interested to see what more an expert in marketing production and football chairman can offer inventors and new product owners and developers than current and former dragons and other potential dragons. And then there's the banker. A banker? All previous dragons have launched things into the mass market.

I'm not saying this will happen but if things don't go smoothly in the near future then he may be opening himself up to criticism. I would've thought he'd do something like this when we were more established in the prem and the ground development had at least started. Actually i never thought he'd do this but if he took anything on it'd wait a while. Either any new business partnerships are going to take up his time or he employs others to assist. Probably the latter.

You're looking at it from a football supporters viewpoint as from an investment point of view Parish & Co took a bankrupt football club that they purchased on a fully secured basis and turned it into a multi million pound saleable asset

I am looking at it from a business/ marketing angle.

Parish's experience in marketing is in a business to business service company.

His experience in football is turning a 100 year old football club with a geographically defined and loyal to the badge, because of various personal reasons, 'customer' base/target market.

That is quite different to turning sole ownership or partnerships into success stories. And it's not really just that. As I said, most of the pitches on DD are for mass market products that not only need investment but very importantly the experience from having done it already and the contacts that get them what they need.

All of the previous dragons have offered these strengths. I don't see how Parish and this banker can offer this, unless they hand it all over to other people once the contracts are agreed.

Maybe DD are going to have more business to business ideas, or just like most tv, it's had its day and people like former dragons aren't making themselves available.

We're at a time where the police hire management from other unrelated office professional industries so maybe I'm behind the times. Or I know who I'd want to take my 'why didn't I think of that' product or convenient online app or service to market. Someone who knew those markets inside out.

Good luck to Steve. But I think getting a 'deal' on there will be tough, with Peter Jones and Debra Meaden scooping up all the cream as per usual.

Shame Theo Paphitis isn't on there. Could've had some good banter and chair rocking. Maybe a fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight as well.
